I'm not one for many fantasy sport games, but the few I have seen do NOT have secrecy.

As far as secrecy goes, I'm totally on the other side, as it makes you think more and presents more of a challenge. I'll come into most races with a plan of what I'm going to do. Seeing other choices can make you think "Have I got my plan totally wrong?", "Wow, I didn't think of that, interesting" or "Ok, how do I beat that?". It makes you think on your feet, gives people different perspectives and adds strategy that you don't get if choosing blind so to speak.

It makes the time before the deadline interesting, nerve-wracking, absorbing...

I imagine most long-term members would think along the same lines and that total secrecy would kill interest levels. I'd be interested what the others actually think.

Do you know what engine maps Merc is going to run before the race starts?
Very little information is public knowledge in F1 before the race. Why should we have to pay to keep people from just doing a "Copy KERS"? (Not that anybody would copy anything I do)

I sometimes have to work on Saturdays til noon, and pit lane often closes at 11 CET. In such cases it would be nice to live in the US, set the alarm clock, get up to change my teams and go back to bed. Still I think secrecy option should cost something, or everybody could just use it in every race without having to think twice about it.

People in the USA get screwed when there is "Late Breaking News" just before the Pit Lane closes. The Europeans are still awake and can change their teams, but most of us are asleep and only find out later.

I do not intend to offer a free secrecy option in the future.
