Old league and team and new league
|
Hi
I want to create a private league with 10 or 11 players each with 2 teams. I believe this is possible, can you confirm? Do I have to do anything special to create such a league?
Also, what happens to my old 2018 season private league, do I have to delete it? Also my old team, do I have to delete that as well?

Every team must have an unique team name.
You are not able to delete a team. But you can rename your team names prior to race 1.
Go to your My teams page -> press 'EDIT TEAM' button right beside on of your listed teams.
On the EDIT TEAM page you'll find a link (right bottom) called EDIT TEAM NAMES.

More questions I'm afraid. If I want to be a single owner in a league and have two teams in the league, do I have to use 2 separate team names?
Also, how do I delete a team. I attempted to create a team called Cadillac BLS 1, intending to create a second team called Cadillac BLS 2. The system however seems to have created a team just called Cadillac BLS, so I need to delete it and try again.

My plan is to have 10 owners each running 2 teams. Will this qualify for conversion to a race series?
10 owners with 2 teams are 20 league members. That's exactly what you need for a race series. It's like the real grid.

I'm still unsure how the private league will work. On the instructions for league creation it says the league will be converted into a race series once the league has 20 members. Is this 20 owners or 20 teams? My plan is to have 10 owners each running 2 teams. Will this qualify for conversion to a race series?

Hello Simon
There are 2 different private league types available on your 'MY LEAGUES' page:
1.) Private League (limited to 20 teams):
A private league changes into a race series automatically when the number of teams comes up to 20. Within a race series the teams are ranked according to the official scoring system. (like in your 2018 PALOMARES league).
2.) Individual Private League (unlimited number of teams):
You are able to determine how many teams per team owner are allowed and you can activate an additional league cup. The league cup is a play-off for the best 8 teams after the 4th to last race of the season. The teams are ranked according to their total score. (Example: MENU RANKINGS -> ALL LEAGUES AND RACE SERIES: Reddit.com Racing League 2018)
The game is locked until February 3rd. The new database comes without the old teams and leagues. So you don't have to delete anything.
