  2021 is on!
Despite the late finish to the 2020 season, it feels like an age since the last F1 race and I'm glad to see the new season kicking off this weekend!

Welcome back to the many returning veterans (still quite a few big names yet to create teams for the season, so I hope they're just leaving it late!) and the new "generation" of competitors looking to compete at the sharp end. Welcome also to any new joiners for this season and I hope you enjoy your debut seasons!

Maverick, kudos for aiming to cover the full 23 races this season. Your retirement from the competition is kind of the end of an era there and though our racing... philosophies differ in some areas, I'll miss going head to head against you (the 2016 CRL remains a highlight).

To those who are new/not too experienced, a few hints and tips...
- I'd recommend aiming to have 3 or more teams created for the season. This allows you to compete in the Constructors championship and also gives you the opportunities to try different strategies and learn faster.
- Be sure to browse the rules, so you get the basics around things like engine usage, tyres etc and don't get caught out by anything unnecessary.
- Be mindful of when the pit lane closes (the deadline for making changes before a race), as missing that or leaving too little time can really hurt!

Enjoy the season everyone!

@CarlisleFrost I feel your pain... Bottas in three teams, including my best. Why does Mercedes always forget you get PFRL points for 12th place, too?

Well Bottas is cursed. That race was looking pretty good up until his puncture. It's a good definition of what it's probably done to my season unless I can have a super strong last 2 races. What I would have given for a clean, drama free last few races!

@rkhalili Thank you... I have to admit I got very lucky in that duel against you and in fact after the race I thought I'm eliminated and should have used ERS myself. So in retrospect that was the toughest duel of the season and you would have deserved to advance, too. Keep up the good play and trophies will come your way.

Congrats but gutted !! :))
Congrats GaKra Motors on yet another superb year !!
Though I have to admit, I was gutted when I lost to you by ONE pointing the ⅛ stage !! I completely forgot to use ERS ... and instead lost points, because I was charging !! Ooops !!
But very well done ... the consistency in your play is impressive ...

@Schumacher Thank you! I cannot say how I do it (and if I could I probably wouldn't ), but the title in Cup was the one that took me longest to finally win it... in my first eight seasons here I didn't get anything there, in ninth season I got second place and in last seven seasons I won it four times... while I don't know anymore how I won in CRL or at Constructors'.
Anyway, you have won your fair share of titles already and are still in a good position to grab up to three big ones this year. Of course in case of overall ranking I will try to avoid it, but in three races I can expect you to collect around 400 points per team, and my head start is about 6% of that only. But of course it's true that things look even better for you in CRL and Constructors, so you better concentrate on these.

Congratulations to Gakra for 3 consecutive PFRL Cup titles.
I have no idea how you do it, I haven't even made it to the cup final yet. Hopefully this is the only title you will win for this year. Of course i'm talking about the world championship. I need to close a gap of about 30 points. So, no pressure!. Feels like I'm going to need some pretty, pretty, pretty good luck to get it to close.

About CRL; 2 races ago, looked like I had an pretty good advantage, but the point gap was pretty much closed. Need some good performences to win the title in in the last 3 races. Carlisle looked strong in the last few races. It will be a tough challange here as well.

Finally, if I have to speak for the constructors' championship; Keke, Carlisle and myself looking pretty close, so i don't know what to make of it. Let's hope some DNF's don't decide the fate of the championship.

Thank you, man! And kudos for still being a contender in all competitions not yet decided. Let's try not to leave everything to Schumacher or they will get out of reach.
As for eliminator, I think in round of 5 and of 25 you have to risk... better to end on last place in the group because of risking too much than to play safe and land on 2nd place. Whatever my opinion on this is worth, of course, as I traditionally got kicked out in round of 25, as every year so far if I'm not mistaken. But being an underdog and with three of my opponents choosing Verstappen I set up my team without anything Red Bull except for Perez... something like the equivalent to a straight draw in poker... and was glad it didn't work out as I had Verstappen in my top team.

Congrats on the win GaKra and congrats to Calle in the Eliminator. I took too many risks (I was probably the slight favourite coming into the final) and got punished for it. Kind of the story of my knockout competitions this year.

At least I have an outside chance in the CRL (Schumacher will be hard to catch) and the Constructors is super close between Schumacher, Keke and myself. Probably too far back in the World Championship, but that should be a good one between those up top (or we'll see if someone can mount a late charge from further back)!

3-peat in Cup, nice. Luck has been on my side many times, have to admit... and it sure helps making decisions. Was still biting my nails til the end, hoping nothing will go wrong at Perez' stop, for example.
