Felipe Nasr Race 4 price

It's a joke that Nasr's price has been put up, and instead of me gaining the extra "mio" if i wish to trade him in for another racer, I'm being punished by being -13mio for the next race. It's not my fault the person who gave out the original price for this driver hadn't done his research, if he/she had like I did they would have seen in the pre-season practice that A) Nasr was a good driver and B) the Sauber is pretty quick! Not my fault you over priced Alonso and Button, again everyone knew the McLaren was CRAP!
change my team value back so that I'm no longer in negative mio or I'm off. Absolute joke

I must say I am not happy with the rule, but it is a rule we all know about and have to accept. Two years in a row I have been pretty angry that my research, foresight, (and let's be honest, guessing), has been "erased" by the rule. Does Bottas and Williams 2014 ring a bell?
There are a lot of smart players in this league who really know F1 and there are no real big secrets...I say stop whining about it, play or leave, there are other leagues and the season is young.
Maverick, thank you for the league and all the work you do...Now, if only "hide components were free" :>

I agree with you, it would be easier to go on with the component prices before race 3. But PFRL isn't an 'easy' game, it's interesting, exciting, complex and challenging. These are the reasons why I created the game play many years ago. I don't like 'pick and forget' leagues.
I am playing the game because of the challenge, the different possible strategies and because luck isn't the main factor.
Why do you playing the game? Why are you so against the challenge of a restart with new prices after race 3?
I think, you agree with me, that now the component prices are more realistic.
But if you have a different approach to solve such a costs issue, please let me know it. I am always open minded for new ideas. I would be pleased for the opportunity to discuss about new suggestions here in the forum.

hello, my name is chris,
i dont know why you don't understand the extraordinary budget adjustment. it must be done. without it, this game wouldn't be playable. we all have negative budgets now, the teambudgets stay about 90 mio. the sauber components were way too cheap. how can maverick know the strenght of the teams before the season is started? he has to adjust it now. without an adjustment, we all have to choose sauber driver and components and CAN'T choose components like alonso, because he costs to much for his strenght this year. nasr can't have a price of 8mio, it would destroy the game, we all would have to choose him for our teams, to have a chance, that's senseless. now all components are near to the real balance of power! so why are you not happy now? you can now choose a team with very much more possibilities.
i summarize it. maverick didn't change your teambudget by itself, he only changed the price of components, which were extremely wrong rated in the preseason! this must be adjusted. the negative budget is just a number. it's up to -27mio at my teams, but it doesn't change the teambudgets of my teams!
we all have 5 changes to build a strong team for the next races.
@ian: we all were "smart enough". if we would have choose alonso + button, we have +30mio teambudget now. but it's just a relative number of your team budget. this hasn't significance. you have to look at your team budget. that didn't change by the component-value-adjustment by maverick! he can't give you a special bonus of 40mio more money than us to buy the strong driver like before. we all have to lookout now for the next and best underrated components, choose them for our teams and win the game! it will be fun!

I agree with Nate89 - this is going to cost me big time just because I was smart enough to chose a successful driver before he started racking up the points!
This is a joke and unless its fixed I'm out (just seen another thread complaining about falling subscriptions to this game - think you may lose quite a few more with this decision!)

According to the rules 3.2.4. PFRL is able to revalue components after race 3 if they are too much over- or underrated. A few components have been adjusted according to their current performance. And nobody has an advantage or a disadvantage because of this action.
Please have a closer look on your teams:
Every team started with an initial budget of 80 Mio.
Zerg Rush: 96 – 8 = 88 Mio -> +8 Mio after 3 races
Zerg Rush 2: 103 – 13 = 90 Mio -> +10 Mio after 3 races
+8 and + 10 Mio are the important values you have to look on. You cannot seriously expect to go with +23 Mio into race 4.
Now you have 5 free changes for the next race. After race 3 it's a restart for everybody with revalued components. It's the same situation for everyone.
Do you really think teams with McLaren components have an advantage? That's not true. Here is an example:
Help Me rHonda: 51 + 29 = 80 Mio -> +0 Mio after 3 races
This team has 29 Mio to spend, but all in all 8 or 10 Mio less than your teams. Who has done the better job? Who has the better team?
You have done the right job. You have chosen the money making components and you have now a +10 Mio benefit for the restart. So please tell me, why are you so unhappy? I don't understand it.

By the same logic.... If some had Button or Alonso in Race 3 and had paid 30-40 mio for them, will they now have extra mio to spend because button and alonso are now 18 mio?
You can't run a league like this, those of us who actually pay attention and don't just pick someone because they're in a Red Bull or their name is well known have been screwed over
